Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) continued its dominant race in IPL 2025, offering a victory of 80 points on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday. The match saw the dynamic trio of KKR – Venkatesh Iyer, Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakaravarthy – on occasion, their winner “V3”.
Shine strike prepares the way
Sent to beat first, KKR openers took a regular start before Venkatesh Iyer took charge with a stock -up of 60 on 29 balls. His aggressive approach maintained the dashboard and set the momentum for the average order. The young Angkrish Raghuvanshi has further strengthened the sleeves with a well-compiled delivery of 50 out of 32, presenting maturity beyond his years.
Ajinkya Rahane (38) and Rinku Singh (32) played precious cameos, ensuring KKR reached a formidable total of 200 for six. Despite the efforts of SRH, their quisors had trouble containing the flow of races, their attack devoid of penetration against the well -built sleeves of KKR.

By hunting an intimidating target of 201, SRH never found its rhythm. Vaibhav Arora delivered an early breakthrough, targeting the upper command with a fiery spell of 3/29. Its ability to swing the ball and generate a pace turned out to be too much for SRH strikers.
As the sleeves progressed, Heinrich Klaasen offered a brief resistance with a rapid 33 fire on 21 balls, but supported the other end. KKR’s Bowling attack maintained the pressure and introduction of the fate of Varun Chakaravarthy sealed. The Mystery Spinner launched the lower order, ending with impressive 3/22 figures.
Finally, SRH collapsed at 120 all in just 16.4 Overs, giving KKR a complete victory.
Defense of the KKR title is growing
This dominant performance reaffirms KKR’s references as defending champions. With a balanced team and players in shape, they continue to define the reference for excellence in IPL 2025. The “V3” trio – Venkatesh, Vaibhav and Varun – appeared as key matches, and if they maintain their shape, KKR will be a force to count with in the tournament.
As the league progresses, other teams have bread to counter the versatile prowess of KKR. For the moment, the Knight Riders are walking, sending a strong message to their competitors.
