Luis Enrique emotional while fans of PSG pay homage to his daughter Xana after the triumph of the Champions League

Fans of Paris Saint-Germain paid tribute to the daughter of Luis Enrique with a tifo after finally seeing the end of their team for the glory of the Champions League.

A 5-0 victory against Inter Milan in Munich on Saturday saw Luis Enrique delivered the PSG trophy for a long time, the club becoming the first French team to finish the triple after winning Ligue 1 and the Coupé de France.

For Luis Enrique, he marked the second triple of his career, the Spanish coach having achieved the same feat with Barcelona in 2014-15.

A 3-1 victory against Juventus in the final of the Champions League saw Barça finish the triples that year, the daughter of Luis Enrique, Xana, planting a flag in the central circle of the Berlin Olympiastadion after this triumph.

Xana died of bone cancer at the age of nine in 2019 and, after the full -time whistle at the Allianz Arena, PSG fans deployed a tifo illustrating her plantation of the flag, but with the modified colors to represent the victory of the French part.

Asked about this gesture, Luis Enrique replied: “It was emotional. It is beautiful that the supporters thought of me and my family.

“But I don’t need to win the Champions League or even a match to think of my daughter.

“She’s still with me. She supports me, and our family, and I feel her presence. ”

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring for PSG in the 12th minute before the Desire Doue splint ended the match as a competition.

KHVICHA KVAratskhelia succeeded 4-0 and the teenager Senny Mayulu scored late to make it a record victory, with the margin of victory of the highest PSG in the European Cup final or the Champions League.

“The first day of the PSG campus, my Frenchman was even worse than today. But I said that the ultimate goal for me as a coach was to fill the trophy cabinet,” said Luis Enrique.

“The only missing trophy was the Champions League. And we checked this box. We were ambitious, and we did.

“It’s in the bag and he goes home with us tomorrow.”
