MrBeAST responds to security problems after fiery video becomes viral

MrBeast was forced to put out literal and figurative fires during the weekend after a crazy blow in a YouTube video aroused the concern of online fans.
The content creator, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, downloaded his latest video on Saturday, who was entitled “Would you like to die for $ 500,000?” And saw a competitor face a certain number of flamboyant “death traps” to try to win a cash prize.
The images opened with Donaldson asking the competitor, a stuntman named Eric, if he would be willing to “risk burning alive” in the quest to win half a million dollars.
After the candidate accepted the challenge, he escaped being attached to a chair while a room burned. The video also boasted of several other waterfalls, including pulling on a gun on fire.
It didn’t take long for video to spread like forest fires, many expressing their security problems for the competitor.
In response to increasing criticisms, MrBeast published statements on YouTube and X. In particular, in a comment pinned on the video – which has more than 50 million views at the time of the editorial staff – the social media star promised to fans that “we take security very seriously”.
“Each challenge has been tested by several stuntmen, we have a complete life rescue team with firefighters, EMTs and divers equipped with an ambulance and a fire truck,” he continued. “We also had a Pyro team controlling fires and several methods of deleting fires on each challenge to make sure that we could essentially deactivate the fire if there was a problem.”
Donaldson then praised the production cascade coordinator and noted that they needed to use any of the above -mentioned security systems.
He expressed a similar feeling on X on Sunday, where he shared his surprise in the face of how the video “blew”, in particular concerning security problems.
“If you are curious, obviously, we had a ventilation for smoke and a killing switch to cut fires,” he added. “We have had a lot of professionals and the guy in the video as indicated is a professional stuntman. I take the security more seriously than you could imagine. ”
The video caused mixed fans, some applauding the skills of the stuntman and others comparing the challenge to Netflix’s “Squid Game” – which Mr. Mrbeast (in a way) gave life in a 2021 video.
For the record, Eric emerged apparently unscathed cascades and with $ 350,000 as a price.
