Liverpool did not sign Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace on the day of the deadline despite his agreement on costs with the Eagles.
Crystal Palace disconnected the agreement after failing to guarantee quality replacement for the 25 -year -old central defender. Liverpool wants to sign the player, and they are likely to return to the future. He will be a free agent next summer, and he remains to be seen if Crystal Palace decides to sell it for a nominal price in January to avoid losing it for nothing.
Liverpool could come back for Marc Guehi
According to journalist Lewis Steele of Daily Mail, Liverpool really likes the player and they want him to play for them. It will be interesting to see if they can conclude the agreement in January.
Steele revealed: “Yes, I asked this question to many sources around Liverpool on Monday evening and the return word was that they always really like it and want it to play for them. As far as I know, the Reds plot another decision for Guehi in the near future and they would probably get an even more important discount.”
Guehi will be eager to join
The 25 -year -old will certainly be attracted by the idea of joining the Premier League champions. It was very interesting to move this summer, and he had already finished his doctor with the Premier League champions.
It would be a major step in his career, and he could contribute to the highest level. There is no doubt that he is one of the best defenders in the League, and he deserves to participate regularly in the UEFA Champions League. Liverpool could provide him with the platform to fight for major trophies.
If Liverpool can sign it for a reasonable sum of money in January, the agreement could look like a long -term master stroke. They need more quality and depth in the defensive unit, in particular with Ibrahima Konate towards the end of his contract. The French international has not signed an extension and he could leave as a free agent. The 25 -year -old English could be the ideal replacement.
