Liverpool reject Bayern Munich Offer for Luis Diaz, Winger clearly shows that he wants to leave

Bayern Munich submitted an official proposal to sign Luis Diaz winger from Liverpool.

The 28 -year -old Colombian international became the first target for Bayern and their first official proposal arrived on Tuesday.

It was worth 67.5 million euros (58.6 million pounds sterling; $ 78.8 million) and immediately rejected by the Premier League champions.

Liverpool Value Diaz at more than 100 million euros, although this is said to be accounting purposes rather than a sale position because their position so far has been that it is not going.

The former Porto striker is in the last 24 months of his contract in Anfield. To date, there has been no signs of extension – and Diaz clearly indicated the club he wants to leave.

That said, it is considered by Liverpool as an important part of their plans for next season and beyond – which was clearly indicated in Bayern, Barcelona and other interested parties.

Diaz joined Liverpool of Porto in January 2022 for initial costs of 37.5 million pounds sterling, the agreement potentially reaching 50 million pounds sterling with additional modules.

He made 148 appearances for the club, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists in all competitions.

Diaz played a key role under the Arne slot machine during the winning campaign of the Premier League title in 2024-25 of Liverpool, marking 13 high level goals in 36 appearances.

“This easy -to -reject offer – 80 million pounds sterling would be more difficult to ignore”

Analysis of the Liverpool correspondent James Pearce

Liverpool is right to refuse an offer for Diaz. The value of the Colombian striker at the Slot team is considerably greater.

Diaz appreciated the most prolific season of his Anfield career in 2024-25 when he contributed to 17 goals in all competitions.

Speculations on his future have intensified in recent months, approaches to Bayern and Barcelona have pushed back.

Liverpool’s position remained the same: it is simply not for sale. They were also clear that they do not feel under pressure to extend his current contract, which takes place before the summer of 2027.

With Liverpool on the market for a new n ° 9, they could certainly do without the additional complication of having to recruit a left attacker to replace Diaz.

However, given that he is 28 years old, there will probably be a figure that reluctantly brings sports director Richard Hughes to the negotiating table.

It would be a great profit on the 50 million pounds sterling that Liverpool paid Porto for Diaz in January 2022. This offer was easy to reject – 80 million pounds sterling would be much more difficult to ignore.
