Four of these matches will be at home and four, the opponents determined according to four sowing pots divided by classification.
The teams will play two opponents of each of these pots – one against a team from each pot at home and one outside. The results decide on the overall ranking of a league.
The first eight sides of the table automatically qualify for the final of 16. The teams finishing from ninth to 24th will participate in elimination in the Knockout on two legs to reach the last 16.
The teams finishing 25th or less are outside Europe for the season.
