Liverpool in the race to sign 168k-p / w bayern contract rebel that Konate knows

Tending to solve their problem as a central defender, Liverpool would now have joined the race to sign a defensive addition which already knows Ibrahima Konate well.
Leoni injury Hands Liverpool Fresh Problem
Despite more than 400 million sterling pounds in summer, Liverpool did not solve their central defense problem. The Reds went everything on Marc Guehi, only for Crystal Palace to shoot the plug on his move from Anfield in the last hours of the deadline and leaves Arne Slot without the additional defender whom he wanted to desperately.
Without Guehi, Liverpool ended up with Joe Gomez, Giovanni Leoni, Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. Now on paper, it should have been enough to alleviate concerns, but Leoni’s LCA injury has since rekindled these concerns. To be without 18 years for the majority of the campaign, the Reds have only three central defenders to choose, one of them being the Gomez subject to injuries.
This is a problem that Anfield leaders could solve in the January transfer window and that the reports already suggest that any decision for Guehi could be accelerated accordingly.
According to Sky Sports, there is “acceptance” that the time of the English international at the club is coming to an end – whether in January or at the expiration of his contract next summer. The big question is whether Liverpool remains in front of the queue for its signature.
Real Madrid would have expressed its interest in Guehi, who could see the Reds undergo a defeat against a familiar enemy on the transfer market. Alas, if that turns out to be the case, it seems that those of Anfield already have a backup plan in mind.
Liverpool joins the race to sign UpameCano
As Bild reported, Liverpool has now joined the race to sign Dayot Upamecano, with his £ 168,000 contract per week from Bayern Munich which expires next summer. The Frenchman, who formed an impressive partnership alongside Konate at RB Leipzig there are several moons, is about to become a free agent and potentially give the Reds an undeniable affair accordingly.
It should be the summer of the rebel contract. Guehi seems almost certain to leave Palace in January or as a free agent, while Upamecano could follow the step and Liverpool has his own contract problems with Konate.
The French international has not yet put the pen on paper in Anfield and could still join Trent Alexander-Arnold in Spain as a free agent in the interest of Real Madrid. It is a decision that would face Liverpool another blow, but which would also open the door to Upamecano.

Nicknamed a “fantastic player” by his French teammate Lucas Hernandez, the figures for last season suggest that Liverpool would not necessarily obtain a downgrading on Konate in Upamecano. In fact, the Bayern star even surpassed her former Leipzig partner in a number of departments.
