Liverpool identifies the defender of Crystal Palace Marc Guehi as their target

After their imminent sale of Jarell Quansah in Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool would have turned their attention to Captain of Crystal Palace Marc Guehi.
According to the Telegraph, Liverpool seeks to sign the international defender of England to strengthen his defense this summer.
This would be another decision of the Reds that would make a declaration and show their ambition.
They have already ensured the signature of Jeremie Frimpong while Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez should be the next players to arrive in Anfield.
Liverpool intensifies efforts to sign Marc Guehi
Guehi, the international in England, entering the last year of his palace contract, is now firmly on the Liverpool radar while they are starting to reshape their background line under the Arne machine.
Bayer Leverkusen is about to finalize a move from 30 to 40 million pounds sterling for Quansah, a transfer that would release funds and space in the team in Anfield.
With only 12 months to play on its current agreement, Palace could now be more open to negotiating the sale of Guehi, rather than losing it for free next summer.
The Liverpool central defender situation is difficult for the moment. Virgil Van Dijk recently signed a new agreement, Ibrahima Konate remains in the contract limbo in the middle of Real Madrid ties, and Joe Gomez returns from injury layoffs.
Guehi could shine in Anfield under the slit

The potential arrival of Guehi would provide the club with stability at the rear and would bring quality to the team.
While Van Dijk remains his number one choice, Guehi should compete with Konate for a place in the starting line.
The defender brings the rhythm, experience and leadership qualities, who were all on display while Palace was beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final last month.
The former manager of England Gareth Southgate described Guehi as an “exceptional” player.
