Liverpool could be forced to consider selling Ibrahima Konate

The future of the defender of Liverpool Ibrahima Konate in Anfield remains uncertain as contractual negotiations are continuing, with a significant interest in European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

The 26 -year -old French international, whose current contract expires in 2026, has been a key figure in the defense of Liverpool since his arrival from RB Leipzig in 2021.

Liverpool is impatient to secure long -term Konate services, after launching contract extension talks.

However, there is still no agreement on the New Deal for International Defender France.

Konate faces an uncertain future in Liverpool

As reported by the BBC journalist, Sam Mokbel, the Saudi team of Saudi Pro League Al Hilal has now joined Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the pursuit of the defender of Liverpool Konate.

“A name to keep an eye on Ibrahima Konate,” Mokbel said on a question and answer session on their website.

“He is in talks on a new contract, but his existing agreement expires at the end of next season.

“If an agreement cannot be concluded, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool envisages offers for the International of France to avoid losing it for nothing in 2026. Paris Saint-Germain and Al Hilal are the clubs I heard who are interested in Konate.”

Liverpool is faced with a delicate situation, especially after the recent departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid.
The Reds wish to avoid a rehearsal scenario where a key player leaves a free transfer.

As such, if contractual negotiations with Konate do not give a positive result, Liverpool can consider offers so that the defender obtains transfer fees.
