Liverpool complete signature of the striker Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Francfurt

Liverpool completed the signing of the 23 -year -old striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for a first prize of 69 million pounds Sterling, subject to international authorization.
Ekitike, the top scorer in Frankfurt last season, succeeded in a medical and agreed personal conditions with the Reds. He will fly to Hong Kong to join his new teammates during their pre-season tour in Asia later this week.
It is believed that the agreement could possibly reach 79 million pounds sterling in additional modules.
The arrival of International France U21 pushes Liverpool’s expenses in front of 250 million pounds Sterling this summer. It becomes the latest addition to the Arne Slot team, according to Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Florian Wirtz – who moved to Anfield for a potential British record of 116 million pounds sterling.
“Hugo has developed enormously in his years and a half with us and was a real asset for our team and the whole club on and off the field,” said Frankfurt Sporting director Markus Krosche, after the player’s departure.
“We are delighted that he can now take the next step – a step he made thanks to his performance with us.”
Ekitike found the 26 net goals in 64 appearances for the German team and was appointed to the Bundesliga team of the season for 2024/25.
He started his professional trip to France with Stade de Reims, before performing 33 times for Paris Saint-Germain and winning a Ligue 1 winner medal.
