Liverpool boss Arne Slot confirms injury update

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has provided an injury update ahead of the club’s upcoming matches, including against Brentford on Saturday, confirming another setback and a handful of lingering doubts.
Speaking about the current state of his team, Slot revealed that Jérémie Frimpong has suffered a hamstring problem which rules him out for at least the next two days, while Alexander Isak and Ryan Gravenberch remain in touch for the weekend.
To make matters worse, first-choice goalkeeper Alisson will also be out for longer than initially expected.
Arne Slot confirms Jérémie Frimpong’s injury
Slot did not sugarcoat the news on Frimpong.
“Jérémie is not in the right place… it’s a hamstring injury so it’s going to take time,” he said, confirming the player will miss the Brenford clash and at least next week, as reported by Ben Jacobs.
On the fitness of Isak and Gravenberch, who have both suffered from injuries this season, Slot said:
“Alex, not too bad. That’s a question mark for the weekend…and the same thing can be said about Ryan.”
Both remain under evaluation, and late sessions will likely decide participation.
Isak was taken off at half-time against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League as his struggles continue at the Merseyside club since joining them in the summer in a Premier League record deal.
Liverpool will remain without Alisson

“Alisson is not in the team tomorrow. It will also take a little longer,” Place conceded.
In the Brazilian’s absence, Liverpool will rely on his deputy between the sticks, Giorgio Mamardashvili.
If the Reds get through this period with a smart rotation and disciplined game management, they can limit the damage and maintain momentum until key names return.
