Liverpool Ben Doak winger is targeted by his rivals Everton

Everton explores the possibility of signing the young man from Liverpool Ben Doak this summer, in what would be a surprising Merseyid transfer touch, according to Sky Sports.

The 19 -year -old Scottish international, who spent last season on loan to Middlesbrough, drew the attention of several Premier League clubs, including Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace, who both saw offers rejected by Liverpool in January.

Doak appreciated a promising 2024/25 campaign in the championship, presenting its pace of blisters and its technical capacity.

His ability to face players in a situation on one impressed Premier League clubs.

His performances in Middlesbrough have been widely hailed, the teenager demonstrating his maturity beyond his years.

Everton trying to reshape their attack on David Moyes this summer, Doak has become one of the best targets of the Merseyside Club.

He is a player with high potential and that is why the manager Arne Slot is eager to keep him more closely in the pre-season.

The Reds have not yet made their decision on the player’s future, but as things happen, it is very likely that he can have the opportunity to prove himself to the club.

Despite this, the competition for places in Anfield is high and there is too much pressure to be performed. In particular for a player as young as Doak, it would be difficult to enter the Liverpool range and even if he is kept by the club beyond this summer, his playing time will be very limited.

The quality that Liverpool has in wide positions, especially on the right where Doak is comfortable, will keep it on the bench for the foreseeable future.

It remains to be seen what the Reds decide from Doak and the next few weeks could decide the future of the talented young person.

The legend of Scottish football Ally McCOIST compared the fearless style of Doak to that of Jude Bellingham, declaring:

“I’m not going to compare him to Jude Bellingham, but I go in the sense that he plays with freedom.

“When Bellingham came to the stage as a young man, he was fearless and seemed to love him every minute – Ben Doak seems to be in the same place.”

With Doak, the goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is getting out of the club this summer.
