Liverpool beat Burnley but Jamie Carragher was angry with a player

The former defender of Liverpool and Sky Sports expert, Jamie Carragher, did not chop the words after Hannibal Mejbri de Burnley was involved in the incident which finally led to the late winner of Liverpool.

In what many call an expensive moment of bad decision, Carragher described Hannibal’s actions as a “brain covered”, insisting that it was not only a mistake but a moment that showed a lack of conscience and condemnation of Burnley to overcome.

The controversy occurred in injury time, following Hannibal handball inside the Burnley’s penalty area. Mohamed Salah intensified and converted the kick, guaranteeing a 1-0 victory for Liverpool.

The penalty decision followed a cross, the ballooning the arm of Hannibal under pressure.

Jamie Carragher was very critical of Mejbri

Carragher was frank, it was not an accident born of bad luck, he saw him as a moment of negligence.

Carragher said the Burnley player “has lost control of his members at a critical time.

“Burnley does not deserve that” Carragher said on Sky Sports comments, as the Daily Mail reported.

The expert described Hannibal’s decision “dead brain”. “It’s a moment of madness!” What is he doing?

Beyond the simple handball himself, Carragher targeted how none of the parties (Liverpool or Burnley) produced a convincing performance as a whole.

Although Liverpool has dominated possession and record many attempts, the game lacked sharpness and cohesion until this decisive moment.

For a team that defended with five back for a large part of the game, this type of error in the box is particularly expensive. Burnley’s defensive configuration was held far otherwise, but this time turned the game on his head.

For Burnley, the result is a bitter lesson. This moment of poor evaluation overshadowed a disciplined defensive performance, and Carragher’s criticism is justified.

Despite the defeat, manager Scott Parker should be the confidence in his team this season. They were determined for a large part of the match against the reigning champions.
