Live updates: Israel and Iran take up missile strikes as the conflict deepens

Former American vice-president Mike Pence issued a striking warning during an interview on Sunday on the state of the Union of CNN with Dana Bash while Israel has detected more missile launches from Iran.

“Iran will never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon,” said Pence, when he was asked by Bash on the attacks during the Tit-For-Tat between the two nations. “And witness in the sky a few moments ago, you can see the reason why” continued Pence.

Pence continued to develop the wider dangers of an Iran with nuclear arms and reiterated a hard position against the nuclear ambitions of Iran.

“Do not forget that the missiles that Iran has developed over the years can reach Europe today. They have worked on intercontinental ballistic missiles that could reach the United States, and Iran is the main sponsor of state terrorism,” said the former vice-president.

“During our administration, we have clearly indicated that. I am grateful to the strong statements of support from President Trump to Israel and his action,” said Pence by reflecting on his mandate, highlighting the Trump administration’s firm position on Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

“I mean with force that if the world knows nothing else, the world should know it, America is with Israel,” said Pence.

But the former vice-president also offered a warning both to the current administration and to his former boss, after Bash pressed him recent comments from Trump on his call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Vladimir Putin continues his brutal invasion and not caused in Ukraine using drones provided by Iran, I would say respectfully to the administration. We must seek elsewhere than Vladimir Putin to know how to manage this situation,” said Pence.

The American and Russian presidents held an hour’s phone call on Saturday, confirmed Trump in an article on social networks, adding that the leaders had spoken of Iran and the Tit-For-Tat air strikes of Israel “finally” and called at the end of the conflict.
