PHILLY PERFECT PHILLY DAY OF LISA ANN WALTER

Lisa Ann Walter is perhaps the favorite second-year teacher of television, but one of her proud titles is when the fans call her “the princess of the Philly People”.

“I’m just glad they don’t hate me,” Walter joked. “Philly is my favorite place to do the stand-up now. It’s like a warm hug every time I go. ”

Longtime comics plays Melissa Schemeti, the fiery and lively teacher on ABC Abbott Elementary. The character – complete with a South Philly accent – was written by the native of West Philly Quinta Brunson.

Brunson warned it that this city can be difficult. “But I had people who told me that I remind them of their South Philly cousin. I couldn’t be more complimented, ”she said.

Walter returns to his city adopted for a three night race at the Helium Comedy Club, from July 11 to 13.

Here is his perfect philly day – and it starts early.

4:30 am

I’m still starting my day with coffee. I like to drink the whole pot, so it must be decamped, or no one could tolerate me. Perhaps the inhabitants of the south of Philly could still manage me. But other than that, I would rebound on the walls.

8 h

I would like to do something outdoors. I would go to the Philadelphia zoo or maybe for a walk. I love Schuylkill. I would take the day to bike on the way next to it. I see people doing it and I didn’t do it.

Noon

If you ask me what I receive for lunch, it will be in one of the 30 places where I went for a cheese or a hoagie. I could go to South Philly to get Angelo. It was so good.

I have a pie and a calzone when I was there. And I said that the next time I will come back, I will have different flavored calzones. They are incredible.

1 p.m.

I could spend time at Rittenhouse Square. I love it there. I love they have art fairs on weekends. I will have to do at least a full turn, then buy something for me and [Abbott costar] Sheryl Lee Ralph.

2 p.m.

I like the Nordstrom rack which is in Rittenhouse, and I just discovered that they have a bloomingdale on the other side of the street. Maybe I should also appear there.

3.30 p.m.

I have to go to a game. Either a phillie game or an Eagles game. If I can arrive at an Eagles game in Philly, my life will be complete.

I would love Tailgate. I would bring a large van or a truck or something like that, I would remove the back and toast. Or just walk and eat the food of others.

But I would bring something. I don’t like people who just take things. Maybe I would bring the cannolis that I obtained from Hammonton, the Mannino’s Cannoli Express of NJ when I was the Grand Marshal during the Italian-American heritage parade in Philadelphia from last year.

7 p.m.

Whatever the game I’m going to, I have to go to Chickie’s & Pete’s after to get Crabfries. I can spend time with the CEO Pete Ciarrocchi and his wife, Lisa. And I would just make friends there.

9 p.m.

I have to hang out with my daughter, [6abc anchor] Alicia Vitarelli. She took me to Fiorella pasta. I would end my night there. It looks a lot like Italy.

I don’t know why my day includes so many restaurants. But I stay in Philly for two additional days when I come to town. It will be two more days to eat roasted pork by John and Tommy Dinic.
