Los Angeles – – Emma Meesseman scored a 24 -point summit, Jonquel Jones collected 21 points and 11 rebounds, and the New York Liberty marked a top of the season in points in a 105-97 victory on the sparks of Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.
Sandy Brondello won her 100th match as a Liberty coach, binding Richie Adobato for the most in the history of the franchise.
Natasha Cloud made consecutive layups to give New York an advance of 96-85-tied for the biggest advantage of the game. Sabrina Ionescu added a lay-up with 1:22 remaining and, after a 3-point pointer by Los Angeles, Cloud made another basket in the track for an advance of 102-91.
Leonie Fiebich added 20 points, Ionescu collected 14 points and six assists, and Cloud scored 11 for New York (21-11), which was 83-71 against Minnesota on Sunday. Breanna Stewart (knee), Isabelle Harrison (cerebral concussion) and Nyara Sabally (knee) did not play.
Kelsey Plum scored 26 points for Los Angeles (15-17), who played his fifth match in eight days. Dearica Hamby collected 21 points, eight rebounds and four interceptions. Azura Stevens scored 17 and Rickea Jackson had 16. Cameron Brink did not play in the second half.
The Liberty made 14 3 points – the most by an opponent from Los Angeles this season.
