Lewis Hamilton’s humiliating admission after the difficulties in Ferrari continues

Lewis Hamilton blamed for Ferrari’s difficulties after the Spanish Grand Prix of 2025. Addressing Sky Sports F1, the seven times world champion congratulated the team for his strategy, but admitted that he had no answers for his performance problems.
In the 10th round, Hamilton, who was running fourth, was charged by the team to leave Charles Leclerc, because his tires were already in trouble for adhesion. While he found positions through the Stop phases, a 55 -round safety car finally worked against him. Most of the field, including the two Ferrari drivers, opted for a fourth stop. Leclerc and Hamilton were both equipped with used soft tires, which has always helped Leclerc to exceed Max Verstappen, who was on Hards. However, Nico Hülkenberg, equipped with a brand new set of softs, exceeded Hamilton, pushing the Briton to the sixth.
Lewis Hamilton admitted that it was a difficult day and said that there was no clear explanation for his lack of rhythm. He praised the efforts and strategy of the team, but estimated that the answers to his difficulties were not entirely within reach of Ferrari. He blamed himself on himself, he recognized that the finish of the Leclerc podium and the stronger qualification performance only added to frustration, because he could not explain the performance gap between them.
Describing his race for Sky Sports F1, Lewis Hamilton said:
“Not particularly. But not a good day.”
Asked about the team’s strategy, he replied:
“The strategy was good. The team did an excellent job.
Asked about his lack of responses to the performance deficit, Lewis Hamilton added:
“I had a very bad day and I have nothing to say. It was a difficult day. There is nothing else to add to it. It was terrible.
On the question of whether the team can find answers, he said:
“I’m sure they won’t do it. It’s probably just me.”
Lewis Hamilton has no idea of his performance problems in the Spanish GP
Lewis Hamilton admitted that he was lost to explain his performance struggles at the Spanish Grand Prix. Although it is on used soft tires in the last stages, like most of the field, the Briton said that the tire condition was not the reason for his frustrating race. Addressing the media printed on the spot, the Ferrari driver only offered brief answers to the questions, suggesting that he always dealt with the problems. Asked about his lack of rear adhesion from the start, he said that the details essentially summarized the whole story of his race.
When asked if we were stuck on all used soft tires made the race frustrating, Hamilton said:
“Everyone was on the same tires.”
When asked if complaints on the radio concerning rear adhesion earlier in the race were the whole story, he said:
“It’s natural.”
When asked if the car had improved at any time this weekend, he said:
“I don’t know why you would say that.”
When asked if he had no answers with all his race experience, Lewis Hamilton replied:
“This is the worst breed I have known.”
When asked if he planned to be in the simulator and with the team working on solving performance problems between Spain and Canada, he replied:
“I will.”
Lewis Hamilton is currently sixth in the pilot championship with 71 points, dragging his teammate Charles Leclerc, who amassed 94 points – a gap of 23 points between the Ferrari duo. While Leclerc has obtained consecutive podiums in recent races, Hamilton’s best result in his first season with the Scuderia remains his Sprint Race victory in China.
In the manufacturer’s championship, Ferrari went to second row, exceeding both Mercedes and Red Bull. McLaren leads the ranking with 362 points, followed by Ferrari with 165. Mercedes is third with 159 points, while Red Bull slipped to the fourth with 144.
