Lewis Hamilton can dream of a strong result of the British Grand Prix after an impressive training rate on Friday for Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari admits that he “can dream of having a strong weekend” at the British Grand Prix after dominating the first of the training sessions on Friday.
The seven times world champion has undoubtedly experienced his strongest Friday since he joined the Scuderia in early 2025, after having dominated free training 1 and finished P3 during the afternoon session.
Hamilton, winner of Nine times F1 in Silverstone, believes that Ferrari’s rhythm was authentic and offers opportunities for Sunday’s race.
“It was a very good day,” he said. “Delighted to see the crowd. Amazing to be on the right track in a Ferrari here in Silverstone.
“It is quite incredible and also with McLaren and Red Bull having upgrades, so so that we are in the mixture being always given that they had a step today, it’s really positive.
“I really have the impression that we can dream of having a strong weekend for sure. Raising and putting everything together and extracting it is another thing, but I will prepare the best I can to make sure that we get the best result.”
Hamilton obtained his best result of Grand Prix equal for Ferrari the last time in Austria after having finished fourth and thinks that he is in the process of ensuring that the SF-25 having been out of the rhythm compared to his teammate, Charles Leclerc.
“I progress a lot now with the car and much more comfortable knowing where it should be,” he added.
“I think that by FP2, we were still not where we were to be, so we certainly have difficulties a little more, but we know the changes that we have to make for the next session.”
Leclerc also experienced a solid performance on Friday, finishing fourth in the first session and P2 during free practice 2.
Although a rhythm is missing a turn compared to the Pacesetter Lando Norris and McLaren, Leclerc thinks that the rhythm of Ferrari’s race will cause problems for opposition on Sunday.
“The day was good,” he said. We have been quite strong so far, so it is positive. I think we still have to find a certain rhythm in the qualifications.
“McLaren is once again probably the car to beat right now, but at the rate of racing, I was happy. I find my way, I change the car a lot on weekends recently to try to find a qualification rate.
“For now, I don’t think I find a way for that, but in the race, I’m really satisfied with where we are. I think we are very strong in the race, but we have to take a step forward in qualifying.”
