Levy struck gold with the star of “sensational” spurs

Tottenham Hotspur was again active this summer, with a real accent on young talents for Thomas Frank to develop during his stay at the helm.

The owner Daniel Levy made eight adds this window, in particular pre -arranged transfers, which led to an average age of new players totaling only 23.5 – highlighting the impetus on the landing of younger perspectives.

Luka Vuskovic was the youngest signature at only 18 years old, while midfielder Joao Palhinha arrived in northern London, offering an experienced presence at 30.

The total average age of the Lilywhites first team’s first team is now only 25.1, the fourth lower of all the Premier League teams for the 2025/26 campaign.

Their ambitions to win another player in such an age group seemed some at some point, but Frank’s side could not conclude an agreement – leading to one of the sagas of the summer window which took place before their eyes.

Spurs failed to land Morgan Gibbs-Blanc

In early July, the Spurs concluded an agreement for Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, but quickly followed the addition with a movement for the Nottingham Forest Morgan Gibbs-White star.

Such an agreement apparently came from nowhere, after having taken talks, to accept transfer fees of 60 million pounds sterling, all taking place in a few hours – but it was not the end of the drama.

It was reported that the Lilywhites made an illegal approach for the signing of the 25 -year -old woman, which led the owner of the Reds, Evangelos Marinakis, threatening Frank’s men with legal action.

Consequently, the player ended up writing a new agreement at the City Ground – undoubtedly a disguised blessing, given his recent transfer of 52 million pounds sterling to Land Xavi Simons.

However, despite their failed move for the international in England, the club has already led a superb business – now seeing the advantages of their latest investment transfer focus in youth talents.

The Spurs player who is now worth more than Gibbs-White

The change in recruitment of spurs to the talents of terrestrial youth has reached new levels in recent years, as shown in the decision of Daniel Levy to Lucas Bergvall on the Swedish side Djurgarden in the summer of 2024.

The 19 -year -old man arrived as an unknown quantity for many supporters – of course, given his count of only 12 appearances in 2024 for Swedish outfit before his transfer to northern London.

However, the young person endured a first season to remember, accumulating 45 appearances in all competitions – subsequently helping the Lilywhites to claim the glory of the Europa League.

He was not the only teenager to have played a vital role in Europe and in the Premier League last season, Archie Gray also making waves in the first team after his change of 40 million pounds Sterling by Leeds United.

Such a decision was undoubtedly questionable of Levy and Co, especially after the young person only had a year of senior football to his credit before joining the Lilywhites.

Throughout the first weeks of the season, the Englishman found minutes difficult to find, but the injury crisis saw him operate in various positions on the side of Angel Postcoglou.

Gray, who was labeled “sensational” by an analyst, ended up with a total of 46 appearances in all competitions – many of which were in unknown roles such as the right back and the central defense – but roles which he filled admirably given his tender age.

At just 19 years old, it is undoubtedly the future of the Spurs, having a lot of time to achieve its potential, but its statistics from the last campaign present the talent it already has.

Following his projections in northern London, he has seen his market value soar since his arrival, now being estimated at 61.5 million pounds sterling per footballtransfers – an increase of 21.5 million pounds sterling on the costs paid for his signature.

Such a figure is more than 1.5 million pounds sterling than the costs praised for the signing of Gibbs -White earlier this summer – presenting the desire for the hierarchy to disembark the prospects of young people has already been a success.

If Gray can rely on his excellent start of life in the capital, there is no reason to know why he cannot be a regular starter under Frank in the hunt for the success of the Dane during his time in the role.

The transfer is additional proof of the perfect recruitment model currently in place, such offers should desperately be reproduced if Lilywhites must win other trophies in the years to come.
