Leeds United have had a disappointing season so far and Daniel Farke is under a lot of pressure.
He could soon be shown the door and Leeds have already identified a potential replacement. They have been associated with several names in recent weeks.
Leeds eye Gary O’Neil
According to GMS, Gary O’Neil is now one of the favorites to take over at Leeds United. He was sacked by Wolves in December 2024 and has been out of work ever since.
It will be interesting to see if he is allowed to manage Leeds in the coming weeks. The Premier League side could look to make a change quickly in order to resume their season. They are currently leading the relegation battle and will want to stay in the Premier League.
Leeds are ready to make a change before the January window, so that the new manager has the opportunity to improve his squad.
Will Farke be able to keep his job?
It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the coming weeks. Daniel Farke has done an impressive job at Leeds United so far this season, and it remains to be seen whether he can keep his job for much longer. If he can turn things around in the coming weeks, the club’s hierarchy may be more willing to give him time until the end of the season.
Leeds players must also take some responsibility for their poor form. They will need to improve their performance level to stay in the Premier League. There is no doubt that the manager will eventually be blamed for his shortcomings, but the players will also need to step up if Leeds are to survive in the top flight.
