Leeds contacted 22 million pounds sterling “monster”

Leeds United welcomed Sean Longstaff to Elland Road as the last arrival of the summer transfer window, after officially announced an agreement for the midfielder on Friday evening.
Fabrizio Romano reported that the whites had paid costs over 12 million pounds Sterling to Newcastle United to bring the star of the experienced midfielder to the West Yorkshire before next season.
The graduate of the Magpies Academy may not be the only central midfielder to go through Thorp Arch this summer, however, because Anton Stach of Hoffenheim was also linked to a move to the club.
Leeds would have had interviews with the Bundesliga Club and agreed personal conditions with the players, but they have not yet agreed for its services.
Leeds agreed on the Laliga star
While they seem to strongly continue an agreement for Stach, the champions of the championship also have other options on their list of targets to strengthen their options in the midfield.
According to The Athletic, Leeds United in contact with Getafe for a potential affair for the versatile star Christanus Uche several weeks ago this summer.
The report says that the whites have inquired about its situation and have not chosen to make an official offer for its services, although it remains to be seen if they plan to submit an offer later in the window.
This adds that the 22 -year -old talent has a liberation clause of around 22 million pounds sterling (21.6 million pounds sterling) in his contract with the Spanish team, which means that Leeds could trigger this to land it.
Athletics also reveals that the Nigerian international, who made his debut for his country in May, is open to the idea of joining a Premier League club.
Leeds could find their own Jelinton
Daniel Farke could discover his own version of Jelinton by signing Uche and wearing him in a midfielder destroyer to strengthen his team before next season.
The Brazilian international joined Newcastle United as an attacker for reported costs of 40 million pounds from Hoffenheim in 2019 under Steve Bruce, before Eddie Howe spots his potential to be a central midfielder.
Since his transition, Jelinton has become one of the best destroyers of the Premier League midfielder, making 2.8 plated and interceptions and winning 5.7 duels per match in the Division last mandate.
Uche started more matches as an attacker (18) in his career than any other position, but also started 15 times as a defensive midfielder in the past, and the scout U23 Antonio Mango said he could be transformed into “midfielder monster”.

As you can see in the table above, the 22-year-old star prospered out of possession in Laliga for Getafe last season, ranking well among the attackers in a multitude of defensive measures, notably winning duels and recovering the opposition ball to regain possession.
Meanwhile, Leeds Target only scored four goals in 33 appearances, as well as six assists, which does not suggest that its future reside as a prolific forward-at-center option, just like when Jelinton scored two goals in 38 Premier League games in his first season in Newcastle as an attacker.
Therefore, Farke could be the coach to help Uche follow in the footsteps of Jelinton by going from a lawyer with a low score and defensive, in a “midfielder monster”, as Antonio Mango said.
The Getafe striker has already played in the midfield, as indicated above, and has the strong physical and defensive attributes to suit an executor in front of the four rear, which is why it is a decision that could be very interesting for Leeds.
