Dr Wendy Osefo and her husband Eddie have been indicted on felony fraud charges, TMZ has learned.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the “Real Housewives of Potomac” star faces 16 charges, including seven felonies, for allegedly defrauding false or misleading information in an amount greater than $300. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of making a false statement to an officer.
The couple was booked Thursday evening in Westminster, Maryland.
Wendy Osefo has been on the show since season 5…she’s a professor of education — teaching at Johns Hopkins University — and a journalist, contributing to The Hill and MSNBC.
Wendy was close to Kamala Harris during the former vice president’s presidential campaign last year… both are members of the same sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.
News comes after ‘RHOP’ castmate Karen Huger was released from prison last month after serving 6 months of a one-year sentence for consecutive drunken driving charges.
