Lane Kiffin restored after being surprised with Ole Miss Qb ‘News’ on the McAfee Pat show

The n ° 13 of Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss Rebels (4-0), will face a severe test against the LSU tigers n ° 4 (4-0) on Saturday. Earlier this week, several reports said Trinidad Chambliss would start against tigers.

However, when analyst Pat McAfee questioned Kiffin about his Chambliss being QB1 for week 5, the Ole Miss Coach was left rather surprised.

“Well, it’s good to know,” said Kiffin on “Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday. “It would be a news for me that the starting quarter has been understood. I will fall and tell our staff here that Pat broke him, Trinidad is our starting quarterrier,” Kiffin told the response of the laughter of McAfee and his crew.

“No, we have not yet made this decision. Think that we have a good team, and we have done good things, and these two quarters are really, very good players. So it’s exciting to have them both.”

Austin Simmons was the quarter-back from the rebels for the season. However, since Simmons has undergone an injury, Chambliss started the last two games against Tulane and Arkansas, respectively.

Given Kiffin’s latest comments, it is not clear if Chambliss will have a third consecutive start to lead the offensive of Ole Miss against LSU.

Lane Kiffin also explained how Pete Carroll and Nick Saban helped him with her coache philosophy.

“(Saban) was great for these three years,” said Kiffin on “The Pat McAfee Show”. “To give me this opportunity to come and work with him, once again, think of these defensive coaches that I became there.

“I just take a lot of Pete Carroll and Nick Saban and what they did and I combined it a little about what we are here. I think we are a real combination of the two.”

Kiffin worked under Carroll at the USC from 2001 to 2006. He was one of the staff of the Trojans who won national consecutive championships in 2003 and 2004.

Kiffin also worked with Saban in Alabama and helped the team win the national title in 2015.

Kiffing is currently in her sixth year as Ole Miss Coach.
