Lands outer 2025: from parking and road closings at the call, food and the rules of the bag

- Fulton Street between 28th and 29th avenues
- Irving Street between the 26th and 27th avenues
- Street Larkin between the Hayes and Grove streets (Taxi shuttle service at the festival)
Are there unemployed areas for collection and deposit for external land?
According to SFMTA, these areas are strictly prohibited from taking someone or depositing someone:
- Lincoln Way, between 25 and 41st avenues.
- Fulton, between 26th and 37th avenues.

Where can I find a parking lot for external land?
Let’s eliminate this: there is no “official” general parking for external land. (Jump directly to more information on the parking lot accessible below.)
Remember that if you choose to try to park near external land, the burglaries are common in San Francisco – then leave nothing visible in your vehicle, and if possible, leave your trunk exposed to show that it is empty. Never leave electronics like laptops in your vehicle, even if you think they are hidden. Read our complete guide to reduce your chances of being introduced to San Francisco (and if you are unlucky to bring your car, our guide on how to claim window repair costs and stolen items from your insurance.)
Can I pay to use a resident’s parking space?
Some schools near Golden Gate Park sell their parking lot during external land to collect funds, such as the Argonne elementary school (which does not take reservations.)
Residents of Golden Gate Park can also sell their parking spaces for visitors to the festival. You can find them on Reddit, Facebook or even browsing the Sunset District in person and seeing who has registered. If you choose to follow this path to find a parking lot, stay more vigilant for scams and make sure you always send money to the right person.
What about blocking an alley, even if it is mine?
According to the SFMTA, the San Francisco transport code allows residents to park in the street and block their own alley “provided that the aisle is not used by more than two tenants.” Vehicles can also never be parked on the sidewalk.
During external land, the SFMTA will apply the blocked aisles “on a complaint base only”, explains SFMTA. Of course, this does not give you braking for free to block the aisle of a person – they will almost certainly make a complaint and will make you tow if they do not recognize your car.
If you live near Golden Gate Park, you can check the Consultative page of the 311 Lands district for local residents for any update.
How to get to external land using public transport
Go outside the land using SF.
SF Muni has a useful card of your options for transportation routes to external land (PNG), and the agency has its own guide to get to Golden Gate Park on Muni.
Muni will provide additional service on N Judah and 5r Fulton Rapid. However, do not forget: the additional 5R service will not serve the entire route.
Each night of the festival, there will be a service provided 5x Fulton Express of Golden Gate Park at Bart Center Bart station.
Add the SFMTA website for a full list of additional stops provided by Muni for the weekend of external land.
Other public transport opinions, as indicated on the SFMTA website:
Do not forget: after the end of the performance, the lines of these buses become long fastSo the earlier you will arrive to try a seat, the better.
You can plan your trip provided on 511.org and check the arrival information of MUNI on the next bus.
Use of official external land shuttle
You can take a look at the exterior lands shuttle.
A shuttle comes from Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (near the Bart Center Civic station) and the other from the Cow Palace by Daly City (which offers free parking.)
These “coach style bus” are prepared and cost $ 33 to $ 50 for a day’s pass (with service costs.)
The service will start to run every day at 11 a.m. and will operate “continuously all day with a limited coverage” from 5 to 8 pm, the last shuttle for the festival starting at 8 p.m.
Regarding the return, the return shuttles run until an hour after the end of the music each evening, according to the festival organizers.
External land managers strongly recommend taking Bart to Civic Center to recover the official shuttle, but if you drive, a paid parking is available in the parking garage of the civic center adjacent to the civic auditorium of Bill Graham for costs (entry to Mallister Street between Polk Street and Larkin Street.)
Go outside the land on Bart
The Bart station closest to Golden Gate Park is Civic Center. From there, you can go to external land using SF fitted or use the official paid shuttle of the land, which deviates from the Bill Graham civic auditorium.
The Bart service will take place until “around midnight” on the three days, indicates the official advice of external land.
Parking at Bart stations with Bart car parks is free after 3 p.m. Friday and free all day on Saturday and Sunday (except for the Milpitas and Berryessa / North San Jose stations, which still charge on weekends).
You can use the Bart trip schedule to chop the details.
Go outside of bicycle lands
You can park your bikes at the festival, with a parking lot available in the eastern and southern parts of the festival site. See a map of closures and detours of the bicycle route for external land.

Bay Wheels, managed by the Rameshare Lyft application, is available at the festival on JFK Drive, just east of Transverse Drive, to park your bike or get a bicycle at home. Use this website to find bay wheels near you.
Make a plan to go home every night (and know your last transit option)
Music ends at 10 p.m. every day.
Phil Ginsburg, director general of San Francisco Parks and Recreation, told Kqed in 2023 that the exit routes are “very well marked and that the strategies to enter and leave the festival are well established at this stage and we will have tons of security and there are a lot of lightning in the region to keep people in safety because they leave the festival.”
Use Bart’s travel planner and SFMTA travel planner to check the last service of the East day at what time.
If you hope to get a carpooling like Uber or Lyft from external land, remember that the recommended collection locations around Golden Gate Park – and that the dynamic overvoltage price for these services almost certainly means that the control of a Uber or Lyft house will be quite expensive. (If you are determined, you may want to consider pre-organizing a crew to share driving and divide the cost.)
