Hendrick Motorsports pilot Kyle Larson tried double today for the second time, which was to finish the Indy 500 and the Nascar Cup Coca-Cola 600 series on the same day.
After trying the feat last year, but having failed to do so due to weather delays, the 32 -year -old driver threw his goal for this to happen this year.
However, after starting the 19th on the grid, Larson crashed from Indy 500 to 92nd round to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While addressing the media after visiting the interior center, Larson explained:
“It was a bit crazy there at the start.

“I became strong behind Takuma [Sato]. I was very close to him and I think I detached myself and that I did a little. Yeah, so I turned. I just hate that I am a little too impatient there on the restart and that I caused this accident. So hate it for all those who have also found themselves.
“I’m just disappointed, so I’m going to try to overcome this quickly and go to Charlotte, and I forgot her.”
During an interview with Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass, Larson commented when he thought he could have finished the race if he had not crushed. He said:
“I don’t know. I was not too focused on that.”
Addressing the initial delay at the start of Indy 500 due to wet weather conditions, he added:
“When I sit there for 45 minutes, it was in my mind, but once we ran, I was not really worried about it.”
Larson arrived at Charlotte Motor Speedway in time to start the Coca-Cola 600.
The driver Hendrick Motorsports currently leads to the Nascar Cup of the Pilot series.
