AHSOKA Star Rosario Dawson Reveals Big Change for Ahsoka Tano in Season 2

Ahsoka Season 1 ended with the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Star Wars Galaxy, alongside the Dathomirian Great Mothers. Ezra Bridger is also back, but Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren found themselves stranded on Peridea with no obvious path home.

Luckily, they’re being watched over by Anakin Skywalker’s Force Ghost, and it looks like the series will next explore the concept of the Mortis gods and the former Sith Lord’s connection to them. As for Thrawn, his arc could lead to the formation of the First Order.

Rosario Dawson recently appeared at Comic-Con Scotland, and despite the dire circumstances “Snips” finds herself in, it looks like we can expect to see a slightly different Ahsoka in season 2.

“At the beginning, she was more serious and she was a little more unflappable.” Dawson shared (via SFFGazette.com). “And I love that she’s relaxing, she’s kind of finding her joy again. I think those moments with Hayden [Christensen] and Anakin were so important to her to heal something so she could be more present.”

“And that’s what I really enjoy. I think we’ll be able to explore that a lot more in the second season.” teased the actress. “I’m really happy that we can add more joy to her life and see her relax a little more and work a little more in the community than she has.”

Ahsoka Season 1 received positive reviews, but most fans seemed to agree that it felt like half a story. Fans left with a lot of unanswered questions, but the series still added a lot to the Star Wars the franchise’s history, with Anakin returning to the World Between Worlds to confront his former apprentice, a prime example of this.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is set to play a larger role in season 2 as Hera Syndulla and has expressed excitement about going deeper into fan favorite Rebel. “I’m not sure what I can say, other than I’m a little more into this season, which is fun.”

“I’m definitely into action, like you say, a little bit more, which was really great to have a Hera really, kind of like, you know, do some things. So yeah, honestly, I’m not going to say much more than that, just because I haven’t done it. [been] given my instructions at the moment. I’ll leave it there. But it was so much fun. I just finished it and it was really great. I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait for people to see it.”

Despite rumors that Ahsoka Showrunner Dave Filoni is expected to replace Kathleen Kennedy as Lucasfilm president, but he is still expected to write and direct a Star Wars film which concludes the post-Return of the Jedi era of storytelling that began with The Mandalorian in 2019.

How The Mandalorian and Grogu How much impact the film will have on these plans remains to be seen, especially if it is a success and perhaps even the first chapter in a new trilogy.
