Netanyahu to contact the UN as Israel Gaza assaults, Trump says no annexation of the West Bank

Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will argue his arguments in the world, addressing an international community from which his country faces the growing pressure and isolation on his devastating assault against Gaza.

Netanyahu borrowed an unusual route to her annual speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, his flight trajectory seeming to avoid countries that could apply an international arrest warrant for alleged war crimes in Gaza.

He should also meet President Donald Trump, who said Thursday that he would not allow the United States ally close to annexing the West Bank already occupied in retaliation for the wave of countries that have recognized a Palestinian state.

Netanyahu said he was planning to “tell our truth – the truth about the citizens of Israel, the truth about our FDI soldiers and the truth about our country,” said the Times of Israel.

He said that he also planned to “denounce” the growing list of Western countries that officially recognized Palestine as a state in response to his military intensification campaign.

Israeli forces have increased their assault on the city of Gaza struck from famine, forcing the movement of hundreds of thousands of people while others remain under almost daily fatal strikes.

This also occurs after Trump has issued a firm warning that he would not allow the government of the Israeli chief to annex the West Bank if he was trying to move forward with a plan that would lead to a new world indignation.

“I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. No, I will not allow it. This will not happen,” Trump told journalists, having assured Arab leaders in private on the subject earlier.

When asked if he had discussed the question with Netanyahu, Trump said: “Whether I told him or not, I did it, but I don’t allow Israel to annex the West Bank.”

“There was enough. It’s time to stop now,” he said.

Trump published the rare warning after far -right members of the Fragile Coalition of the Netanyahu government called for this decision.

The Palestinians are considering the West Bank as a key territory for an internationally recognized Palestinian State, alongside Gaza and East Jerusalem. The annexation of the territory, occupied by Israel since 1967 cause.

Trump also presented his 21 -point plan for peace to Arab leaders, his special Steve Witkoff envoy saying that the meeting was “productive” and that a breakthrough could be imminent.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was also among the leaders to address Unga, although he was forced to pronounce his address by video after the United States revoked his visa, as well as those of other Palestinian Authority officials.

In his video speech, Abbas said that the Palestinians in Gaza “faced a war of genocide, destruction, famine and displacement” by Israel, adding that “despite all that our people have suffered, we reject what Hamas achieved on October 7”.

Abbas said Hamas would have “no role to play in governance” in the future it was considering for Gaza.

This future is at stake in peace talks, and Netanyahu will address world leaders under pressure not only of its closest ally and its ministers, but families of hostages still held in Gaza.

The Israeli leader has so far challenged their protests calling him to conclude an agreement to end the war and release their loved ones.
