KL RAHUL’s best series of career tests places it in the Kohli-Sachin Tendulkar Virat League

The opener of the India KL Rahul team engraved its name in records on day 1 of the fourth test at Old Trafford in Manchester on Wednesday, July 23. The right -handed striker has joined the elite list, including Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, after having marked 1000 tests in one of the most difficult conditions, in England.

Rahul has made key contributions at the top of the order for India in England. He had a mixed outing during his first tour in 2018, scoring 299 points in five tests at an average of 29.9, including a century. He has shown an improvement compared to the 2021 tour, amassing 315 points in four games to an average of 39.38.

Rahul was exceptionally in the 2025 series in progress. With four centuries of testing in England, he ranked second in the Indian strikers for the most hundreds in the country, behind only Rahul Dravid, who has six.

Apart from England, India is the only other country where Rahul has scored more than 1,000 tests, accumulating 1,149 points at an average of 39.62.
