The Sacramento Kings have been a major fire so far in the 2025-26 season, currently sitting at 6-17 heading into Monday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers, despite a recent road win over the Miami Heat. Zach LaVine may have increased his trade value slightly in this game with a 42-point performance, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Kings will be able to extract value from this roster.

Russell Westbrook has had his ups and downs thus far during his tenure in Sacramento, and recently a fan on the court called Westbrook “Westbrick,” his notorious online nickname referring to his poor shooting ability, and the Kings guard responded quickly, as captured on amateur video.

“Don’t play with me,” Westbrook said, via Fullcourtpass on X, formerly Twitter.

Westbrook then quickly buried a jumper on the ensuing play.

This isn’t the first time Westbrook has gotten into an on-court affair with a fan, particularly over the nickname Westbrick, which has haunted him for years since his disastrous time with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Overall, as previously mentioned, the Kings’ season has been a disaster thus far, with any concerns about the team’s confusing construction proving more than validated.

Sacramento essentially implemented an older, slower version of the Chicago Bulls from the early 2020s, who already weren’t a very good team to begin with and did very little in the way of building for the future or stockpiling assets.

As previously mentioned, it’s possible the Kings could get something for players like LaVine or Domantas Sabonis if they play well over the next month, but overall, things are looking pretty bleak in Sacramento at this point.

Still, that clearly won’t stop Westbrook from playing hard.
