Walker Buehler Faches Dodgers for the first time
“It’s going to be interesting,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “Walker and I spent a lot of time together. I’m sure there will be emotions. ”
Buehler came out of the lift enclosure to obtain the last three withdrawals of the World Series against the Yankees on October 30, then accepted a one -year contract with the Red Sox on December 28.
He received his World Series ring and some other memories of the Dodgers before the match on Friday, then posed for a photo with a number of former teammates.
“A kind of fun weekend,” said Buehler.
Buehler was 5-6 with an average deserved race of 6.03 thanks to its first 14 departures with the Red Sox. He granted six points deserved in 18 rounds in three starts since then, guaranteeing his place in the rotation.
“Fans [in Boston] are long and noisy and somewhat similar to many respects, “said Buehler.” It was a really fun year apart from some of the game stuff for me, but in terms of my family, we love it here. “”
Buehler said he had conversations with the Dodgers about back, but that didn’t work. He lost shortly before reaching an agreement with the SOX.
“They had guys they wanted to sign and I signed in a place where I wanted to play,” said Buehler.
Buehler only made 28 departures of 2022-24 due to injuries and was 7-9 with an MPM of 4.75. The Dodgers have signed Blake Snell an agreement of $ 137 million over five years. But he only made two departures because of the inflammation of the shoulders.
Sasaki RokiTheir other addition of major rotation, experienced a MPM of 4.72 in eight departures and has not presented since May 9 due to the impact of the shoulder.
“I would not change my career, except to get injured,” said Buehler. “I enjoyed my time [with the Dodgers]. Many of these playoffs, I think I grew up and that I probably learned a lot about myself. »»
Right -hander Justin Slaten Perhaps missing two weeks when he made the injured list with a painful shoulder on June 1 in Atlanta.
“Just general fatigue, just get ahead,” said Slaten at the time. “Give him a little time to calm down.”
Almost two months later, he has not yet resumed the mound. But Slaten has at least advanced to play Catch several times a week and hopes to return to the mound in the next 7 to 10 days.
“It’s going very well right now,” said Slaten. “The last week and a half, two weeks, were very positive. I saw a ton of progress. My shoulder is normal now. All pain is what would be typical after playing Catch.”
Alex Cora said the SOXs are confident that Slaten will return to the list this season. Slaten has a 7-6 file with an MPM of 3.09 and five stops in 68 games since it was selected in the rule 5 of 2023.
