Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert May had a ulterior motive with their late evening crossing Tuesday evening.
The actor launched the second night of his “Brooklyn week” by announcing with joy that his late peer of CBS would join him as a guest – and that he would appear “simultaneously” on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”.
For what? Well, as Kimmel said frankly, “We thought it could be a fun way to make the president crazy. So, I’m delighted that Stephen is there. “
Kimmel also joked that with Colbert as a guest, the episode on Tuesday evening was “the FCC series does not want you to see.”
Kimmel of course referred to the recent dramatic which afflicted television at the end of the evening, including the cancellation of Colbert in July and the suspension of several days of Kimmel earlier this month. Trump expressed his aversion to hosts, calling Colbert and Kimmel without talent on separate occasions.
Although “The Late Show” should end his race in May 2026, Kimmel said that there was power in “public pressure”, sharing a photo of a Californian motorway with a banner that required Colbert’s show.
He added: “The inhabitants of the and New York spoke.”
Before finishing his monologue, Kimmel revealed another legend at the end of the evening in his show, while Seth Meyers made a cameo alongside Brother Josh Meyers, who portrayed California. Governor Gavin Newsom in one.
Colbert also shouted Kimmel in his opening monologue Tuesday evening, where he shared: “We have a big show for you tonight … When we come back, it’s our friend Jimmy Kimmel.”
