The Buffalo Bills have lost back-to-back games to the Patriots and Falcons to fall to 4-2 and second in the AFC East. They hope to get back on track when they travel to the Carolinas to face an improved Panthers team as 7-point road favorites. The question for us fantasy footballers is: Can we trust any of the Bills receivers in fantasy?

Below, we’ll review Khalil Shakir’s fantasy football outlook for Week 8.

Fantasy Football Analysis: Bills, WR, Khalil Shakir

Through six games, the Bills’ leading target accumulators have been Keon Coleman (5.8 targets per game), Khalil Shakir (5.7) and Dalton Kincaid (4.8). This is a target distribution that fantasy players hate, and rightly so. You can’t count on any of these players because they need to score a touchdown to be useful, even in PPR. Currently, Shakir ranks around 40th in fantasy points per game for wide receivers. So on average he’s a WR4 and that’s about where to think of him unless his target numbers change drastically due to injury or a complete overhaul of the offense. Start it as a flex and this week, with six byes, it becomes a little easier to start.
