Tornado not confirmed in the county of Holmes

County of Holmes, Florida (WJHG / WECP) – Several houses and properties are damaged following a possible tornado which attracted the northeast part of the county of Holmes on Saturday according to officials.

Around 11:30 am, the communications from the county of Holmes received tornado reports focusing in the Newberry Road area. They say they started to get more damage to Well Road, Bethlehem and in the Esto region. They say that the first stakeholders struggled to arrive in certain affected areas, often needing to cut through the trees and the electric lines slaughtered to reach those who need it.

18 houses or structures have been reported as damaged according to the officials. In addition, an injury has been reported.

The sheriff’s office says that all the roads are now passable, but the big debris remain on the shoulders. (In relation: Road closures in the county of Holmes after bad weather))

The first stakeholders of the counties of Holmes, Washington, Walton and Jackson were on the scene to check the roads and the residences to ensure the safety of all the residents.

They urge the public to avoid the affected areas currently, because the first stakeholders exercise their functions.
