“That’s kind of what started our relationship,” she said. “It took a few days to call him, because my mom was like, ‘Give them time.’ I was ready to call him that day and say, “Let’s do this thing. I have a father now, woohoo!’ She said, “Take some time to think about it over the weekend. Let them deal with this as a family, then call.’”
