Katy Perry’s song ‘Bandaids’ gives a nod to her daughter Daisy Bloom

Don’t let Katy Perry‘s sweet reference to her child is the one that got away.

The “Dark Horse” singer released the music video for her new song “Bandaids” on Nov. 6, and the clip included a meaningful tribute to her 5-year-old daughter. Marguerite Colombe Bloomwith whom she shares her ex Orlando Bloom.

In the video, Katy repeatedly injures herself following a series of freak accidents as she appears to sing about her breakup with Orlando, with whom she ended her engagement in June after nine years together.

“Hands to God, I promise I tried / There’s no stone left unturned,” she sings in the first verse. “It’s not what you did, it’s what you didn’t do / You were there but you weren’t.”

But even though she can’t resolve their issues, Katy admits she has no regrets about their romance on the bridge. At this point in the video, the “Hot ‘N’ Cold” singer spots a single daisy flower growing on the otherwise barren train tracks, showing that their failed romance ultimately gave him an immeasurable gift: his daughter.
