Karoline Leavitt attacks the journalist who denounced her return to “your mother”

Johnson laughs. “The president uses social media to make his point. You can argue that he’s probably the most effective person that’s ever used social media to do that. He uses satire to make his point,” Johnson responded. “He’s not calling for the murder of his political opponents, and that’s what these people are doing.”

What the GOP claims was a “Hate America” rally was incredibly peacefulwhile the participants and organizers were keen to denounce any form of political violence. In the days leading up to the event, Johnson accused the event to be a haven for “pro-Hamas supporters”, “antifa types” and “Marxists”, while House Majority Whip Tom Emmer went further and called it an event for the “terrorist wing” of the Democratic Party. And if Johnson’s comments Monday are any proof, Republicans are still dead set on promoting these lies.

“The politics, the spectacle, that’s what the crowds, the crowds, the rallies were about this week,” Johnson continued. “The irony was very obvious. They called it the ‘No Kings’ rally. But the great irony of course… if President Trump were a king, the government would be open. If President Trump were a king, he would have closed the national parks and the National Mall, so they couldn’t have a rally here.”
