Karen Read Trial: Defense Grills Crucial Expert of the prosecutor on the “ errors ” in the CV

After a lunch break, the defense lawyer Robert Alessi began to contravene the expert in digital criminalic of the Shanon Burgess opening.
Alessi has grilled Burgess on the possibility of a scientific bias with regard to the Burgess survey on the data recorded on the Karen Read SUV and the iPhone of John O’Keefe.
“Biases must therefore be avoided in applying scientific questions and methods,” said Alessi. “Because they can lead to inconclusive in science, right?”
“Good,” replied Burgess.
“And even if they are to be avoided, you have called this case a homicide,” said Alessi. “Before even starting your alleged scientific tests, isn’t it true?”
Burgess said he did not remember using the word “homicide”, which prompted Alessi to provide a copy of the Burgess report.
“On page four, notes of the bottom of page three,” he says, “examine evidence by the Defense Council, [regarding] O’Keefe, MV Homicide, “” said Alessi. “Have I read that correctly?”
“Yes,” said Burgess. “You did it.”
Alessi then burned Burgess on an inconsistency concerning his college studies found on his CV and LinkedIn page. Burgess has admitted several “errors” on his curriculum vitae indicating that he has a baccalaureate, conceding to Alessi that his highest level of education is a diploma as a partner.
“If an expert witness cannot even be honest on his own history, why someone should believe what he says,” Grace Edwards, a defense of the Massachusetts defense, in Fox News Digital. “Credibility is the most important factor to support their professional opinion. What a contrast with the moment when the lawyer [Adam] Lally goes through the education and experience of her experts. I can’t believe [Burgess] was even qualified as an expert when we saw the defense experts go through the spinner. “”
