Justin Jefferson’s frustration level reaches boiling point as Vikings WR makes major move after embarrassing loss to Seahawks

Justin Jefferson was completely invisible Sunday, both on and off the field. The Minnesota Vikings receiver was held to four yards on two catches in a 26-0 shutout loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Notably, the broadcast caught him sitting on the bench at the start of the fourth quarter:

After the match, he left the locker room quickly, avoiding journalists in the process:

Justin Jefferson left the locker room after the Vikings’ loss today without speaking to reporters.

It was the first time he had done so since 2022:

The Vikings say Justin Jefferson refused to talk. This is the first time this has happened since my arrival in 2022.

Jefferson was significantly hurt by a terrible performance from Max Brosmer, who rushed for just 126 yards on 19 completions and was intercepted four times, including a pick-six to Ernest Jones in the second quarter. He also ate four bags.

TJ Hockenson was the Vikings’ best offensive weapon, catching six balls for 59 yards. Jordan Addison added five for 36, while Aaron Jones caught for 22 but was held to a measly three yards on the ground.

Speaking of the ground game, Jordan Mason ran for 47 yards, while Zavier Scott added 17. They also combined for two grabs for 5 yards.

For the Seahawks, Sam Darnold only had 128 yards on fourteen completions and was also sacked four times. However, he helped kicker Jason Myers have a strong outing, kicking four field goals.

Running backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet combined for 108 rushing yards on 27 carries, with the latter also scoring the game’s only offensive touchdown.

Justin Jefferson exchanged gestures with former teammate Sam Darnold after the Vikings-Seahawks game

The dejected silence Justin Jefferson displayed on the bench and in the locker room stood in stark contrast to the joviality he displayed after the final whistle.

He crossed paths with Sam Darnold, his former teammate, in the middle of the field. The two men shook hands and kissed:

In 2024, Darnold was brought in to ostensibly support JJ McCarthy. But after the then-rookie suffered a season-ending knee injury, he was unexpectedly elevated to the starting job.

Jefferson thrived with a top-3 finish in 2018, catching 103 balls for 1,533 yards and ten touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler as the Vikings went 14-3. However, they lost 29-7 to the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round.
