Hayley Atwell, Rupert Everett join season 2 of “rivals” in Disney +

Disney + unveiled new casting additions for the second season of “Rivals”, with Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett joining the whole as stars invited in the drama based on the successful novel of Jilly Cooper.

Atwell, known for “Mission Impossible” and “Agent Carter”, will represent Helen Gordon, the ex-wife of Rupert Campbell-Black and his mother to his children Marcus and Tabitha. Everett, whose credits include “Napoleon” and “My Politman”, assumes the role of Malis Gordon, the husband of Helen and the former coach and Mentor of Campbell-Black.

Prince Happy’s production, which is part of ITV studios, is currently running in the United Kingdom. Season 2 will extend to 12 episodes, based on the success of the first season which has become one of the most popular British British dramas in Disney +.

The new members of the additional distribution announced include Maxim Ays (“Boarders”, “Sanditon”), Holly Cattle (“Young Sherlock”, “M. Loverman”), Oliver Dench (“Hotel Portofino”, “Domina”), Amanda Lawrence (“Malory Towers”, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”) Lockwood, Slow Wolfblood “,”, “Here we go”), Eliot Salle “Normal People”) and Jonny Weldon (“One Day”, “Brassic”).

The series brings back its original overall set alongside a large list of support players, including Wendy Albiston, Jamie Bisping, Denise Black and David Calder, among others.

Located in the glamorous world of British television from the 1980s in the context of the COTSWOLDS campaign, the second season will offer increased power struggles and deeper rivalries, because careers, weddings and reputation will bend into balance.

“Rivals” will return to Hulu in the United States and Disney + in the United Kingdom and abroad. The first season is currently available to broadcast on Disney +.
