Julia Garner says that Madonna Biopic is “supposed to occur” and reveals a hearing where she had to “convince her that I can dance”

Julia Garner won the main role in Madonna’s biopic that the “Materials Girl” had in the work, and the Fantastic Four: First steps Star gives an overview of the hearing process.
In a new interview, Garner says that she is still ready to play Madonna on a biopic that the singer “Hung Up” is heading herself.
“It’s supposed to happen,” said Garner Intelligence Podcast when the host Sean Hayes remembered that she was supposed to play Madonna in a project.
Garner said that she was “such a fan of Madonna” and “grew up listening to” the pop star, adding: “It came. I knew they were doing a project, made a film on this subject, then I went to audition.”
“I just wanted to see if I could do it, because I was not a formed dancer and I had to learn to dance and then dance in front of her and convince her that I can dance, basically and sing. And sing with her! ” She recalled the hearing process.
To prepare for the hearing, Garner says she said to herself, “Ok, what would Madonna do? Which convinces you that she deserves, you know, to be in this room, and I owned it. I got a bit like: “ You can take it or leave it, but if you leave it, if I go, then it is on you. ”
Garner said that the project is still in preparation and added that “everything that is great … takes a long time”.
In January 2023, it was reported that the film by Universal Pictures had been rebuilt. Madonna was to lead the film about her life and her career, making the script with Diablo Cody and Erin Cressida Wilson.
After the film was suspended, Madonna teased in July 2024 that she was back working on a scenario for her biopic.
Earlier this year, Deadline reported exclusively that Madonna had teamed up with Netflix to tell her story in a television series under development alongside Shawn Levy.
