Asia Cup 2025: BCCI Lodges complaint against Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan for controversial gestures during Ind VS Pak Super 4 Clash

Rivalry in the field between India and Pakistan is often a high octane matter, but the Asia Cup 2025 saw the tension spread beyond the limits of the cricket field. THE Cricket control advice in India (BCCI) filed an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) Against two Pakistani players. The complaint follows from what the BCCI considered as provocative and antactive gestures made during the intense super oven confrontation between the two teams.
The controversial gestures of Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan
The complaint focuses on two specific incidents that took place during the match in Dubai. The first implies a Pakistani stimulator Haris RaufWho, in response to the songs of “Kohli, Kohli” of the crowd, made gestures which would have made fun of Indian fans and would even have referred to a politically sensitive military incident. He was seen imitating an airplane crashed and also displayed a “6-0” hands-on gesture, a reference to an unconceived propaganda complaint.
The second incident implies the opening of the dough SAHIBZADA Farhan. After reaching his half-century, Farhan celebrated by holding his bat and imitating a shooting machine gun. Although some can say that it is only a celebration, the BCCI considered it a provocative and insensitive act, in particular in the context of the high issues match and the existing tensions between the two nations.

BCCI files an official complaint in ICC
According to sources close to PTI, the BCCI submitted its official complaint on Rauf and Farhan on Wednesday, and the ICC confirmed the reception of the email. If players choose to refuse the accusations in writing, an official hearing could be planned. Rauf and Farhan can be forced to appear before the ICC Elite panel referee Richie Richardsonwhere they will have to justify their conduct. According to the result, players could face penalties as part of the ICC code of conduct if their explanations are deemed insufficient.
The ball is now in the courtyard of the ICC. The World Cricket Organization has recognized the reception of complaints on both sides. The result could range from a warning to fines or even to a suspension, depending on the seriousness of the offense judged by the CPI code of conduct.
