Josh Charles once had a choice word to describe Travis Kelce.
The good wife The alumnus’ allegiance to the Baltimore Ravens was apparently at the root of his displeasure with the Kansas City Chiefs star.
“I always liked Travis Kelce, I thought he was cool, but that year they beat us in the AFC championship game — they beat the Ravens — he was a real jerk that year,” Charles, 54, said in a guest spot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Monday, January 5. “So I kind of fell for him. When I met him, I said, ‘You know, I’ve always loved you, and this year you were kind of a DICK.’ »
Kelce, however, was not offended, the Best medicine star shared.
“He laughed and he said, ‘You know what, you’re right,’” Charles recalled.
The two crossed paths when Charles appeared in a flashing cameo in Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” music video, alongside Ethan Hawke.

Charles later shared a photo from the shoot on Instagram.
“I’ve admired Taylor for a long time, but meeting her in person took my fandom to a whole new level,” he wrote. “Genuine, kind, approachable and just an all-around stellar human being – not to mention an awesome director to boot!” »
It turns out Charles was ultimately just as impressed with Kelce.
The NFL star, 36, and the actor then talked football and shared a report that denied Charles’ initial assessment of the player – and the off-putting “swagger” he brought to the crucial 2024 game.
“He’s such a good guy,” Charles told Fallon. “I really like it.”
As for his team losing a playoff spot the day before Charles appeared in Fallon, the Ravens fan was glum.
“It was a rough night last night, I almost canceled your performance,” Charles joked to Fallon.
