Jordan Walsh, Hugo Gonzalez and Josh Minott on the Boston Celtics’ opportunities this season

The entire Boston Celtics roster, with the exception of Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard, has become this season’s Stay Ready Crew under Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, who has shown no qualms about benching a rotation player or even a starter when he believes there is a player on the team who can do a better job of giving the team what it needs.

Josh Minott, Hugo Gonzalez and Jordan Walsh played key roles in the Celtics’ surprise start, and Boston’s trio of wings recently took the time to talk about their opportunities with Boston so far this season in a recent video released by the team. “It was just exciting,” Minott said. “The opportunity to be on the field and contribute to the victory, to the success of a team, I can’t take it for granted. Joe gave me this opportunity and I don’t want to let it go in vain. I love this place.”

“I hope they notice that I’m always going to try hard in the basic things that I can contribute to,” Gonzalez offered.

“I’m going to fight until the last second I’m on the field for the team, for the franchise to win. That’s the main thing they can expect from me.”

“The level of comfort and confidence is at an all-time high right now,” Walsh said. “After talking with Joe…he tells me to be more confident, to play with more swagger, so I know that fills me with even more confidence.”
