A scenic version of the 1975 film Afternoon dog day Of the theatrical branch of Warner Bros. heads for Broadway, with The bear The actors Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in star roles.
The playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis adapted the film to a bank bench that went wrong for the live scene, with Rupert Goold realizing. Warner Bros. Theater Ventures will open the play on Broadway in the spring of 2026.
Bernthal will play Sonny Amato and Moss-Bachrach will play the role of Sal Desilva.
