John Deere approved the use of the use of Biodiesel B30 on all of the 4 -level motor portfolio.
This increases the previous approval of mixtures to B20.
“At John Deere, we are committed to supporting and developing the use of renewable fuels in our equipment,” said Pierre Guyot, main vice-president of John Deere Power Systems.
“We firmly believe in the role that renewable fuels play to support the economy of agriculture and are delighted to offer to our customers – including those who cultivate the very crops used to make renewable fuels – the possibility of taking advantage of higher fuel mixtures such as biodiesel in their own equipment.”
John Deere has a long history of supporting the use of renewable fuels in his equipment.
Before the announcement, all level 4 John Deere engines were approved for Biodiesel B20 and RD100 renewable diesel, with all level 3 / Stage III A and lower level engines approved for Biodiesel mixtures to B100.
In addition, all John Deere Spark’s lawn and ignition utility equipment is approved for the E10 ethanol mixture.
John Deere also explores the use of higher ethanol mixtures in future engine solutions, including the development of a 9.0L conceptual ethanol engine that works on E98.
Customers interested in integrating higher renewable fuel mixtures, including B30, in their operations, are encouraged to consult their fuel supplier.
