Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones Lead Netflix Movie

Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones navigate their changing lives in the early 20th century in Netflix featurette’s full trailer Train dreams.

Writer-director Clint Bentley’s film arrives in theaters on November 7 before it begins streaming on November 21. Kerry Condon and William H. Macy also star in the film which premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival last month.

Train dreams Stars Edgerton as Robert Grainier, a lumberjack in the Pacific Northwest who seeks to balance caring for his family amidst burgeoning life on the burgeoning railroad system.

“I didn’t think you’d be home this soon,” Jones tells Edgerton in the trailer. He replies, “I just couldn’t stop walking until I got there.”

Bentley (Jockey) directed the film from a screenplay he wrote with Greg Kwedar that is based on author Denis Johnson’s 2011 short story. Bentley and Kwedar previously worked on the screenplay for Singwhich earned them an Oscar nomination.

Producers for Train dreams Include Marissa McMahon, Teddy Schwarzman, Will Janowitz, Ashley Schlaifer and Michael Heimler. Edgerton, Kwedar, John Friedberg and Scott Hinckley serve as executive producers.

In his review of Train dreams For The Hollywood ReporterFilm critic David Rooney wrote: “The cumulative weight of all those moments that make up an ordinary life is the subject of this elegiac macro-miniaturist portrait of an itinerant worker in the early 1900s, Northwestern, played by Joel Edgerton in what might be the best work of his career.”
