Toney appointed to the Tuchel team to face Andorra and Senegal

England manager Thomas Tuchel recalled striker Ivan Toney to his team for June matches against Andorra and Senegal.

Toney, 29, left Bretford last summer to join the Saudi team Al-Ahli and scored 22 goals in 29 games.

“We followed him closely, like all the players on our list,” said Tuchel.

“He played a lot with massive contributions and decisive objectives, he won the Asian Champions League. We want to see his personality in the group and his quality.”

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is included despite his current shoulder problem, while Newcastle Jacob Murphy winger did not cut.

Dan Burn and Jordan Henderson, surprise of calls in March, are still underway while the defender of Chelsea Trevoh Chalobah has a first call.

The three lions of Tuchel faced Andorra in qualification in the World Cup on June 7 and play Senegal in a friendly match at Nottingham Forest City Ground three days later.
