Joanna Calo accepts the Nantucket Film Festival Award for Excellence in TV Writing
At the Nantucket Film Festival in 2025, Joanna Calo was one of the three writers honored during the celebration of the event signing, Screpwriters Tribute, led by Michael Ian Black.
Calo, a writer on “The Bear” and “Thunderbolts *”, received the Excellence in Television Writing Prize, presented by the star of “The Bear” Lionel Boyce; The creator of “Andor”, Tony Gilroy, was honored by the Prix of the visionary storyteller, presented by the writer / director Scott Frank; And the award -winning documentary director Alex Gibney received the special realization in Stroytelling Honor documentary. During his presentation, Boyce revealed that he had met his children for the first time during their trip to the festival.
