Emma Raducan loses against Barbora Krejcikova and Korea Open of last 16

Emma Raducanu missed three match points while the former Wimbledon champion, Barbora Krejcikova, retaliated to reach the quarterfinals of Korea.

The British number one Raducanu will be left to the height of a missed opportunity after losing 4-6 7-6 (12-10) 6-1 in two hours and 52 minutes.

Raducanu was used for the match at 5-3 in the second set, after leading him 4-1, and held a match point in this match.

However, Krejcikova broke Raducanu and forced an equality break – which Raducanu initially seemed to have dominated.

After running in a 5-2 lead, Raducanu ended up with two match points on the Krejcikova service, but could not convert and the former world number two held firm to force a decision maker.

Krejcikikova, ranked 39th in the world, saved two breaks in the third match in the decisive set before dropping five successive games to ensure the victory.

The Czech will face the world number two Iga Swiatek in Poland in the quarter -finals.

The Wimbledon title champion and head of Swiatek was a 6-3 6-2 winner against Sorana Cirstea in Romania earlier on Thursday.
