As indicated on Taken into account Earlier this week, Barcelona watched the favorites for a long time to sign Garcia, although he also aroused the interest of Arsenal and Man United.
Romano’s latest update suggests that Barca has been able to see late complications and competition from other major clubs, with what looks like a superb signature …

Garcia should be a major upgrade on Marc-André Ter Stegen and Wojciech Szczesny for Barcelona, so it is a big boost to help Hansi Flick maintain the strong start that he did at the Nou camp.
Joan Garcia Transfer Update looks like a big blow for Manchester United
In truth, Arsenal probably didn’t need Garcia because they already have David Raya as a very reliable number one.
For United, however, it is a very different story, Ruben Amorim surely needs a signature of first class goalkeeper as soon as possible after the bad form of Andre Onana.
Garcia could have been ideal for helping to start this new United project, but it may not be surprising that it was favored Barcelona.
Who else could he sign with the goal?
Another name to watch could be Lucas Chevalier, with the Lille goalkeeper mentioned as an objective of the UTD man by Taken into account Sources recently.
We imagine that we will see a few other names emerging in the weeks and months to come, Onana is certainly not good enough to continue as the first choice at Old Trafford.
However, United also has many other areas that they have to strengthen this summer, so we will have to see how long they will be able to focus their efforts on a new goalkeeper.
